It's time for the CBEA 2009 State Conference!
Relationships and Relaxation Thursday, November 5
Today is a great day to explore local industries including Fleetwood
Enterprises and the huge UPS Parcel Service Hub at Ontario International
Airport.
Other activities include tours of the historic Mission Inn, and
our usual fun 9-hole golf outing.
You may to contribute to one of four
curriculum networking round table sessions in the afternoon. Relax at
Kelly's Spa or poolside with your colleagues.
Relevance Friday, November 6
Exhibitor Day! Join us for a day focusing on the wonderful products and speakers sponsored
by your exhibitors. All concurrent sessions will feature speakers with timely topics and best practices and strategies
to reach all students for continued development of our work force in Career
Technical Education. The exhibit hall will have specially timed breakout
sessions so you can have plenty of time to tour the exhibits.
Riverside
Community College will host computer hands-on workshops with transportation
provided to and from the campus. Enjoy the Opening Session of the conference
and lunch at a table with your favorite exhibitor.
Finally, join your
colleagues to renew acquaintances, and welcome first time attendees and
new CBEA members at a networking reception in the evening.
Rigor Saturday, November 7
Today's concurrent sessions are designed to rejuvenate your classroom.
Keynote speaker Suzie Humphreys will help you re-energize your professional and private
life.
Bring home a wonderful gift for someone
you love (or yourself) from the fabulous Silent Auction which supports
CBEA. Network with your colleagues at lunch (on your own), at the Networking
Breaks, and at the evening Awards Banquet which will honor
the recipients of the CBEA State Awards.
Reflection and Rejuvenation Sunday, November 8
This morning we will host our "Meet the Experts" once again in round
table fashion. At the Closing Session enjoy a delicious breakfast, Mission
Inn style, and hear the final keynote speaker.
Now is the time to make
plans to re-energize your students and your teaching skills using the
information you gained from the conference! And travel home safely!
As always, you may receive one unit of university credit by attending the
scheduled sessions on Friday and Sunday and completing the required assignment.
